The app that made it to Play Store
In the subject Human-Computer Interaction at University, we should develop an app from scratch. This included finding the right idea, doing initial paper-mock-ups and planning the structure of how to code it. Meaning we were a part of the whole process. My group and I decided to investigate the opportunity to make a 'real life application' and thus we were looking for companies we could help.
As a partner we found heavymetal.dk as they needed an app for their website. We used Android Studio as our developing tool and Java as the programming language. From this project, we learned how to work together as we all had different areas of responsibility. My main areas were Settings, Shared Preferences, Facebook-API/Instagram-API, notifications and the main page.
This is one of the most engaging projects I have been a part of. The prospect of it being used by people gave me the drive to make it perfect and made me spend hours upon hours developing various features. The can be found on 'Google Play Store' here link.
